The Lumberyard is a cornerstone resource building in Last Z: Survival Shooter. It produces Wood in an hourly cycle, which is a vital material for constructing and upgrading almost every building in your base. Keeping your Lumberyards optimized is essential for rapid progression.
Lumberjack Bonus: Assigning Refugees with the Lumberjack trait to this building will significantly increase the hourly wood output. Don't leave your Lumberyards unmanned!
Unlocking Requirements
As you expand your base, you can build multiple Lumberyards to meet your growing demand for materials:
- 1st & 2nd Lumberyard: Clear Area 1.
- 3rd Lumberyard: Reach Headquarters Level 12.

Tips for Wood Management
- Higher Priority: In the early game (HQ levels 1-15), Lumberyards are often more important than Farmhouses because building requirements for wood are higher.
- Refugee Skills: Check the "Assignable Refugees" section often. Using a refugee with high Lumberjack skill can boost your production by up to 20-30%.
- Continuous Upgrades: Since the output increases by a steady amount each level, try to keep all your Lumberyards at the same level for balanced production.
