Every commander's story starts here. Season 1 — known in the community as the Grassland Season — is where your account is born, your first alliance takes shape, and the foundation for every season that follows is laid down.
Season 1 is the season every new Last Z: Survival Shooter account begins in — it's typically referred to by the community as the Grassland Season because of its open, green starting terrain. Unlike the later thematic seasons (Desert, Everfrost, Dinosaur Origin, Moonlight Elegy), Grassland is designed as the foundational period: you'll build your first base, unlock your early heroes, join or form an alliance, and start competing for territory against other new survivors on your server.
Everything you build here — your resource economy, your hero roster, your alliance relationships — carries forward into Season 2 and beyond, so decisions made during Season 1 have a long tail of consequences.
Season Tally is the scoring system running quietly in the background throughout Season 1. It tracks your account's (and your alliance's) contributions over the course of the season, and it's the mechanism that determines your end-of-season rewards.
Cities are the backbone of Season Tally progress. Capturing a city typically requires committing troops to a rally and defeating whatever defenses (NPC or rival player) currently hold it. Once captured, holding the city continues generating tally value for as long as your alliance controls it — which means defense matters just as much as offense.
The Capital — usually the most valuable city on the map — offers the largest reward pool of the season, but is also the most heavily contested. Coordinated alliances typically target the Capital only once they've secured a strong perimeter of surrounding cities first.
Since Season 1 is when most players are actively joining or building alliances for the first time, this is the season where alliance culture gets set. A few things worth prioritizing:

When Season 1 concludes, players get a window to migrate their account to a new state for Season 2. Migration is optional, but for competitive players it's strongly recommended, since later seasons bring new terrain, new mechanics, and often more evenly-matched server populations than a Season 1 server that's aged for months.
Before the migration window opens, it's worth:
